January 2, 2023- Couples trip

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Pros: Overall, i felt safety for travel especially with grandkids and onboard staff is very friendly. I have a grandson who is six years old always wants to ride big diesel train preferably steam train and it was his very first time experience. he was very excited to ride and really enjoyed. Kept asking when we going to ride again ever since. Cons: 1)Working staff at the station. By contrast, quality of service between On-board staff and station worker are totally different that they come from different planet. Since it was my first experience as well. so i had couple of question to make sure I am at right track for train at station but when I asked her answer was rude. I can't tell that she wasn't service oriented worker. 2) To purchase a ticket, I couldn't purchase all at once. Maybe, didn't know how, I had to purchase a ticket one by one. Tips: Just get onto a train and staff will host your trip very friendly.
