Pros: Good driving skills. Cons: His attitude. Driver could use some interpersonal skills training. He also blasted the A/C the entire trip which made it uncomfortable for the passengers.

Pros: Excellent driver who was very helpful. Cons: online printing of boarding info was not printable..need work. Tips: 31st and 8th a a very congested area...leave a bit early as motorcoach departed on time.

Pros: The bus driver was rude. He didn’t tell me seat number upon scanning QR code. I sat in bus at random and noticed people sitting in specific seats. I went back and asked him about seats and he said “I told u didn’t listen” while I clearly remember he scanned my QR code, asked to put my bag in and went on to scan the next person’t code. He also was rude towards me when I greeted him and asked if this bus is going to NYC and he said “this is what it says on front”. It was rainy morning and I had a blurry vision so asked but didn’t expect a rude response. Cons: Seat allocation should be provided in writing, not based on verbal communication from driver.

Pros: Price. Cons: Bus didn’t have my assigned seat. Bus broke down middle of the trip in highway and we had to wait for mechanic to arrive. Driver had poor communication skills and we were not well informed what was going on. After the bus was fixed and we arrived at a resting spot, driver went to restroom without telling us anything and we had to wait until he comes back. Only after that and after some passensers asked, we were able to go to restroom ourselves…. Tips: Don’t expect arriving on time or guaranteed seat assignment. Not worth paying for luxury or premium car because they may switch busses without informing us.

If your plans change, no worries! You can cancel your Flix ticket up to 15 minutes before departure and get a refund as a voucher. The amount you get back depends on when you cancel:

Less than 2 days before: 25% refund 2 to 6 days before: 50% refund 7 to 29 days before: 75% refund 30 days or more before: 100% refund

Extras like seat reservations and extra baggage get a full refund, but booking and service fees aren’t refundable. To quickly and easily cancel your trip online, go to FlixBus’ website to look up your reservation, and you will have the option of changing passenger information or cancelling your ticket.

In addition to 24-hour assistance during your trip and other benefits, trip protection can help you get your money back in case you need to cancel or change your FlixBus booking. You may file a claim to be reimbursed if you do not travel on your bus trip due to covered reasons such as extreme weather, illness, or required work shifts.

FlixBus US Baggage Policy

Carry On Bags: You can bring one bag up to 25 lbs (or 11 kg) on to the bus with you with dimensions of up to 16 x 12 x 7 inches (or 40 x 30 x 18 cm). The bag must be able to fit into the overhead bin or fully under the seat in front of you.

Checked Baggage: You are allowed to bring one bag that will be placed under the bus for the duration of your trip. Each bag needs to weigh no more than 50 lbs (or 23 kg), with dimensions of up to 31 x 20 x 12 inches (or 79 x 51 x 30 cm). You are also allowed to bring one additional checked bag for a fee of $9.99. You can add the additional bag to your booking during checkout.

Keep in mind that there is limited space on the bus, so if you are planning to bring an extra checked bag, make sure you book your trip as early as possible.
