About Amtrak Blue Water℠

Amtrak and Blue Water are both registered trademarks owned by Amtrak. The Blue Water is an Amtrak train line that runs 319 miles between Chicago, IL and Port Huron, MI. Along the way, it stops in cities including Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Flint. Overall, the Blue Water serves 77 routes, connecting 11 cities.

The Blue Water is designated as a higher-speed service, which means the trains go faster than conventional routes, but not quite fast enough to be called “high-speed rail.” Passengers can book either Coach Class or Business Class tickets. Upgrading to Business Class includes exclusive amenities like a dedicated car with attendant, free coffee and tea, and a more flexible ticket cancellation policy. All passengers can enjoy the free WiFi available on the train and the power sockets at every seat.

Amtrak Blue Water has been an official Wanderu partner since 2015. You will always find the cheapest Blue Water train tickets on Wanderu.com or the Wanderu app. If you are an Amtrak Guest Rewards member, make sure to enter your member number at checkout to earn valuable points on your purchase.
