Please read the fine print. The passenger had to transfer and the first bus was too late to catch the next bus. Since the ticket was purchased through this website, no refund from the website nor the bus that we had the trip through. Just leave plenty of time in betw...More

Pros

Cons
The driver was overall pretty rude and patronizing. We stopped at a McDonald’s as advertised but only for 6 minutes and he said no one should order anything because he would leave without them. It was dinner time.

Pros
This was a very enjoyable trip at a time when it could have been hectic and less enjoyable because of weather conditions and holiday travel concerns. Our driver Don (Jordan I think) was extremely informative and in control the entire trip.
Cons
Since everything exceeded any expectations it leaves little room for improvement in my opinion!
Tips
Other than asking for Don as a driver don't worry about carryon luggage as it is readily available promptly upon arrival.

Don't see any really need for improvements. EXCEPT.....my destination was Chicago (where I live). Do think the driver could have taken a different route into the city. He took the Kennedy expressway (90) which is the WORST possible route to get into the city. Esp...More

Is there WiFi on a Van Galder coach?

Yes Van Galder offers WiFi connection onboard their coach trips. Though most trips with Van Galder will have WiFi as advertised, some trips might not come equipped with WiFi, and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a film just to play it safe. Van Galder WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favourite show.

Are there power points on a Van Galder coach? Are there USB points?

Van Galder currently provides USB points onboard their vehicles. With a USB point you can charge most handheld devices like a smartphone, tablet or e-reader as long as you pack the right USB cable. USB points won’t allow you to power larger devices like laptops.

Does Van Galder offer will call tickets, that you pick up at the station?

No, currently Van Galder does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station or stop.

Do you need an ID to get on a Van Galder coach?

No, currently Van Galder does not require an ID to board the coach. Of course, it is always a good idea to carry a government-issued ID whenever you hit the road.

Can you use your phone to board Van Galder?

No, currently you cannot use your phone to board a Van Galder coach as they require you to have a printed ticket on hand to board.

Are there toilets on Van Galder coaches?

No, there are no toilets available on Van Galder coach trips. Though there are no toilets onboard, typically breaks are scheduled in the itinerary to allow passengers to use toilet facilities along the way.

Are meals or drinks offered onboard Van Galder trips?

Van Galder does not offer meals or drinks onboard. We recommend you bring a drink and some snacks for your trip. We also suggest packing a reusable water bottle with you to reduce your impact on the environment. Most carriers, though, do not allow you to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

Do you have to print your Van Galder ticket?

Van Galder requires that all passengers have printed tickets to board the coach. Are you in a pinch and need to print a ticket? Most copy shops will offer print services on a per-page cost. When you book with Wanderu and activate your account, you will be able to easily find and download your tickets for most carriers on the platform.

Does Van Galder offer any premium features like extra legroom, films, or TV?

Van Galder goes the extra distance to deliver up-class offerings to its customers. Do you find yourself squished in a regular seat or just love having extra room to sprawl out? Well you’re in luck as Van Galder advertises that they offer extra legroom seating. Since there is no standard of what extra legroom is, the extra space you might get varies from carrier to carrier, but getting extra is always good.
