Amtrak Vermonter

Pros: Not a crowded ride. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was quite clean and the bathroom had warm running water! I also like the little snacks and meals they have in the cafe car. Cons: Amtrak is Amtrak and it gets us where we need to go. I don’t expect much from it. Especially for a 4.5hr trip. Although, if the bumpy hip hops of the ride can become smoother, that would be the one thing I’d say could improve. Also, indoor volume of conversation and music/video should be enforced. A train is an enclosed public transport space, that should be respected. There are designated quiet cars, but still.. Tips: There was designated quiet cars if you don’t want someone talking on the phone in an outdoor voice right next to you.

Pros: Fast and easy. Cons: Bathroom smelled. It needs a deodorizer. Tips: No skycaps at Stamford.
