Amtrak

Pros: Most of the drive is beautiful, I enjoy getting to sit by myself, and it is incredibly easy to bring luggage with me. Cons: The train was rubbing behind and I wished they would give an updated ETA so I could let my ride know how far behind we were. Tips: If you get carsick, be prepared to sleep a lot or look out the window. Otherwise bring snacks so you don't have to buy food, bring a mask, and bring something to do.

Amtrak

Pros: It was on time. Considering the weather and some traffic on the I-80 summit, we still arrived on the scheduled times. Cons: All in all, a relaxed and pleasant trip. The only complaint I have was the condition of the restroom on the train. It could have used some servicing during the trip. I walked out of the restroom with TP stuck to my shoe. Tips: Bring snacks. The food in the cafe car is okay, but pretty expensive for what you get.
