New Carrollton is a small town in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, located about 13 miles northeast of the nation's capital. A true hidden gem in the area is Greenbelt Park, a forested park with 172 campsites and nine miles of trails perfect for an escape to nature.

It's easy to reach D.C. from the New Carrollton station, which connects to the Washington Metro's Orange Line and the MARC trains that serve Maryland. The Northeast Regional departing from D.C. makes its first stop in New Carrollton before continuing on to Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. In addition, coach lines provide service to New Carrollton from as far away as Indianapolis or St. Louis. Main departure station: Reno Amtrak Train Station

The Amtrak Station in Reno is one of the main travel hubs in the city and opened in 1868. Located on North Center St, the station is surrounded by the casinos, restaurants, and hotels which put Reno on the map. Due to its downtown location, the station waiting area and the train tracks are actually placed below ground level. The California Zephyr train line passes through this station on its route from Chicago to Emeryville as well as Amtrak Thruway buses which connect to Sacramento.
