About Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

The Pacific Surfliner is a high speed Amtrak train operating in the Southern California between San Luis Obispo and San Diego, stopping at 25 stations along the way, including Grover Beach, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Santa Ana and Sorrento Beach. As an inter-city rail service, each train is equipped with high-capacity double-decker passenger cars. The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner spans 351 miles through Southern California and takes under 6 hours for the whole journey.

You’ll have access to a wide variety of amenities when traveling on the Pacific Surfliner. Every train consists of a business class car, three coach cars, a café car, and a coach or baggage car. Checked baggage is stored on a lower lever with coach seating provided in the upper level.

For an additional $15 charge, passengers who ride Business Class enjoy the best amenities, including complimentary newspapers, free beverage and snack service, reclining seats and extra leg room.
