Pros: I loved how easy it was to board the train, how organized it was and that there was food. Although it was only a few hues I was suddenly sooo hungry when I boarded and having a hot delicious sandwich hit the spot! Cons: They did excellent nothing to change. Tips: Bring your own water. Go to the bathroom on the train and don’t get confused like me with the bathroom door, red means locked!

Pros: The seats in business Class were very comfortable. We were on time until delayed by the Amtrak leaving AA. The car and bathroom were clean. We take the train because we love seeing the countryside from ground level, it didn't disappoint. Cons: I bought Business class seats because the promotion said Preboarding, boarding assistance, free beverage, first off the train. I paid for use of the lounge in Chicago because the ad says assistance boarding, redcap assistance with luggage. Simply, NONE of these services were made available. We were sitting in the Chicago lounge when the desk agent began shouting from near the door that the Wolverine to Pontiac was boarding. We all jumped up and headed for the door. Three Amtrak personnel herded us toward the trains by shouting. There was no preboard for Business Class, we got the last two seats together in the Business Class car. There was no Boarding assistance except by other passengers. I saw some Redcaps driving carts away as I approached, no more came. There was no free beverage offered. When we got to AA, late, there was only one conductor on the train. We were told we all had to exit at the front. So we dragged our things through the entire train to exit. I use a cane. Not fun. Tips: Be self sufficient and ready to move quickly. Bring your own food and beverages for your convenience. Take the train to enjoy the countryside rolling by.
