Pros
Great being on the train
Cons
We are having a problem as my husband believes he lost his wallet on the train and there have not found it and the lost and found is open very odd hours. We leave tomorrow and are concerned as this is where it might have been.

Is there WiFi onboard Deutsche Bahn IC?

No, Deutsche Bahn IC does not offer WiFi at this time. We find that a good book makes the time fly by and streaming services like Netflix allow you download TV shows and movies that you can then watch during your trip. Plan ahead and you will stay entertained during the entire train ride.

Are there power outlets on a Deutsche Bahn IC train? Are there USB plugs?

Yes, there are power outlets onboard Deutsche Bahn IC train trips. You can generally find one or two plugs per row of seats, so be a good traveler and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power outlet USB converter that typically come with most phones and tablets. Since Deutsche Bahn IC might sometimes use replacement train vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power outlets. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

Though we always recommend bringing a reusable water bottle with you to make sure you have water within easy reach and help reduce unnecessary plastic waste.

Deutsche Bahn IC does not require a printed ticket to board the train. An E Ticket is sent to you by email that you can load on most electronic devices.
