Durham is a little treasure cove for all fans of history and the United States’ heritage. The first and foremost thing you should try out is go on a hike on one of the city’s iconic trails. If you wish to enjoy a more unique experience, the American Tobacco Trail will be a better choice, as it follows the old CSX railroad. The main Amtrak train station in Durham is located around the corner from the bus stop at 601 W Main St. Durham is served by Amtrak’s Carolinian and Piedmont lines. The city’s air services are handled by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, 12 miles southeast of the city.

As the capital of Delaware, Dover offers a plethora of landmarks and attractions to keep tourists engaged! Tourists interested in the city's heritage (and American history in general) should check out the Delaware Agricultural Museum & Village, which showcases artifacts and items of great cultural significance to the state's agricultural history. You could also visit the John Dickinson Plantation to learn more about one of the original founding fathers of the U.S. For some outdoor activities, check out the local Amish community, where you can meet locals and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Dover is a stop along several bus and train routes, with service offered by Amtrak, Greyhound, SprinterBus, and OurBus. Air travelers usually fly into the airport in nearby Wilmington or make plans to take a bus from the airport in either Philadelphia or Baltimore to Dover.
