Chemnitz to Bari bus

Named for the river running through the town, Chemnitz is a cultural center in Saxony, close to Germany's border with Czechia. The city was known as Karl-Marx-Stadt before German reunification, and an enormous bronze sculpture of Karl Marx's head reminds visitors of this legacy. Other notable structures in town include the Red Tower, a remnant of the city's 12-century walls, and the striking Altes Rathaus, or Old Town Hall. The region is also famous for its Cucina Povera, or "food of the poor," a local cuisine that emphasizes delicious but straightforward foods using only local and seasonal ingredients. You can sample these traditional foods in the city's many restaurants and street food vendors.

Bari has its own airport, and metro services connect the airport to the central train station. In addition, numerous bus companies run services to Bari, and frequent trains connect the town to other Italian destinations.
