BestBus passenger reviews
Pros I loved that the bus was parked and waiting. I also loved that I could sit with my family, and that the seats were not assigned. I most especially loved that the bus stopped right in Fairfax, Virginia and we didn’t have to go all the way to DC. Cons The WiFi could be stronger. Tips You won’t regret choosing this bus.
Pros the water bottles were a nice touch! and it was nice to stop at a rest stop for 15 min to grab snacks and take a bathroom break. Cons seats were a little cramped but there were plenty of empty seats so we could stretch out!
Pros Was very comfortable, clean, the only thing there was no outlet to charge our phone Cons Improvements the price,& outlets so u can charge ur phones, it was a long trip, so even if ur phone is charged, u have to keep in contact with with ur family to let them know everything is okay Tips Travelers, I would advise to book anytime wit Wanderu.
Pros I loved it. The driver was super knowledgable. I felt like he was a great driver. He was not super friendly but he was great at his job. A+++++. Cons I thought it was perfect. Tips Be kind.
Pros Smooth ride Cons N/A Tips N/A
Pros Bus was clean. Driver seemed very knowledgable and ran an orderly bus. Cons All good.
Pros Very spacious and smooth ride. Cons ETA could be improved. Our bus was an hour late than the estimated time.
Pros The driver was frendly and efficent Cons More Leg room
Pros All the staff were friendly and helpful. The driver got us to NY with no issues. Even took us to a rest area that had multiple restaurants while we were on the way. Tips Arrive on time! because if they say they are leaving at 4:30, they’re pulling out of the lot by 4:31
Pros Good staff Cons Maybe next time offer sleeper bus
Pros Departed and Arrived on time, very comfortable! Cons Everything was good! Tips I highly recommend to travel with this bus line!
Pros Excellent service Cons The seat Tips Again Excellent Service
Pros Relaxing... Cons Maybe use the tv monitors to watch a movie.. Tips Would recommend this company to my friends and family
Pros convenient departure and arrival points. Cons the staff at Washington union station check in spot was somewhat rude to us when we were trying to check our bags, unaware of the proper procedure. (no big issue, but unnecessary friction to first time users). The bus had no available water for passengers (as advertised), and the restroom has no lavatory or at least alcohol gel for hygiene. WiFi slow and intermittent. Two stops at rest stations for driver shifting, (quick ones though)
Cons The driver's tone. He was yelling at people.
Pros The bus left on time and arrived in good time. Passengers were considerate and everything went smoothly. Cons The buses are all older, which is fine. They are decent and the cost is great so we know what we're getting.
Cons Clean trays off for buses with trays.
- CaroleJuly 5, 2026Dewey Beach – New York
Pros We had a 30min delay due the initial bus did not have a/c. Worth the wait to get a bus w/ a/c. The man who checked us in, did so in advance, so we could readily board. Also, as I’m having to use a cane, he let me board 1st, so I could get a seat I didn’t have to walk to the back for. Very nice. Cons Wi-fi access Tips Bring a sweater as the a/c can get cold. They warmed it a bit after pit stop.
Pros Price, ease Cons WiFi did not allow internet access
Pros Easy to get to. Easy drive.

BestBus Cancellation Policy
BestBus tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. However, you can place your reservation “on hold” and receive a BestBus travel credit for a future trip, as long as you do so more than 24 hours before the bus is scheduled to depart. To place your reservation on hold, go to BestBus’ website to look up your reservation, and you will have the option of rescheduling your trip or placing the trip on hold. Once your ticket is on hold, you will receive a travel credit which can be used to schedule a new trip with BestBus for up to a year after your original purchase date.
BestBus tickets can be easily changed online following the same process. There is no fee for changing your ticket, but a difference in price would be charged if you exchange your trip for a more expensive ticket. Any changes must be submitted at least 24 hours before the original departure time.
Wanderu also offers an affordable trip protection option by Allianz Global Assistance that you can purchase when booking your tickets. In addition to 24-hour assistance during your trip and other benefits, trip protection can help you get your money back in case you need to cancel or change your BestBus booking. You may file a claim to be reimbursed if you do not travel on your bus trip due to covered reasons such as extreme weather, illness, or required work shifts.
BestBus Bus Guide & FAQs
Yes, BestBus offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with BestBus will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. BestBus WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.
BestBus provides both regular power outlets and USB outlets on board their bus trips. This helps to ensure your electronics never run out of power. Your laptop can be juicing up while your phone stays charged as well. Of course, even with all these options, it’s possible that a BestBus vehicle might have an issue with its power supply, so to cover that situation bring a charged power bank.
On a typical day, BestBus has 28 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.
No, BestBus does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station.
Yes, BestBus requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.
Yes, there are bathrooms on BestBus buses. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.
Your thirst is a priority for BestBus, and to make sure you are never parched onboard their bus, they offer free bottles of water. Just remember—the only right thing to do at the end of your trip is to make sure every water bottle is placed in a recycle bin to reduce your impact on the environment.
No printed tickets are needed to board BestBus buses. A BestBus agent will greet you with a passenger list and will mark off your name as you board. So simple!
BestBus goes the extra distance to deliver premium features to its customers.
Movies are provided during the bus trip to keep you entertained. Don’t forget to bring your favorite pair of headphones, as headphones are not always included on the bus. We recommend in-ear noise cancelling headphones due to their small size.
