Bochum Dahlhausen is a beautiful, yellow historical rail station with a gray tiled roof and turrets on one end. Not many people go inside since the platforms are easily accessible from the street, although you're welcome to wait inside. The two platforms service trains heading to Oberhausen, Hattingen, and a regional train line to Hagen. The station has no amenities besides ticket machines and seating, but one street over from the station are a few cafes and restaurants, a REWE supermarket, and a pharmacy. There are also multiple other train and bus stations close by if you need to make a connection. The station is in the eastern portion of Essen, where you can also find major attractions, hotels, and restaurants, plus connections to Cologne and other major German cities.
