Pros: The ease of travel between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Cons: The staff need to know what train car number they are in. We made a quick stop in Aventura on my return ride to Fort Lauderdale. I sat in my assigned seat, later getting up so that a fellow rider could access his seat by the window. A Briteline employee came to me and said I (and the other passenger) were in the wrong seat. There were also # 2 new passengers that supposedly had our seat numbers. The # 2 of us were told to go two cars further. The train started it's next leg when I stopped an employee and asked what the number was of the car. First, he avoided me, but I persisted by getting in his way. He said we were in the wrong car then proceeded on. Upon returning to our original seats, the employee asked if we needed anything (food, drink I guess) and then softly apologized, turning quickly and disappearing. Tips: If you verify what car and seat you are assigned, then the employee has no leverage. I showed her my ticket, but she still stated we were in the wrong car. I suggest keeping your ticket in case something like this arises.
