The Ottawa Station is the central station for intermodal transportation services in Ottawa. Constructed in 1966, the current station is an eclectic mix of modernism and Beaux-Arts, offering a unique design that makes it stand out from the crowd. The current station provides intercity bus services and rail services all from one convenient hub. The rail services are provided by VIA Rail, with possible destinations including Toronto and Montreal. In addition, Ontario Northland offers bus service, and there is also a shuttle bus line from the station to Montréal–Trudeau International Airport. Brockville, also known as the City of the 1000 Islands, is one of the oldest railway hubs in Canada. In 2009, VIA Rail built a new terminal to replace the historic 1872 Brockville station. The new station is located on Perth Street near downtown Brockville. Since the sweeping renovation, the station has been running trains from Toronto to Ottawa and Montreal. At the wheelchair-accessible station, you will find an indoor waiting area, restrooms, and telephones. Outside, there is an ample amount of parking space available. The station opens 30 minutes before the first train arrives for the day and closes 30 minutes after the last train departs. However, working hours may change due to unforeseen circumstances like local events, holidays, and extreme weather.
