Pros: The train ride was smooth and it got me to Windsor safely. Cons: The train left the Toronto station about 20 minutes late. I've had other trips on Via Rail and they've always left the station right on time. Also, there were 2 or 3 other delays. A couple were waiting for other trains to pass and one was because anther train was stalled on the main line track. Overall, this meant we arrived in Windsor about 3 hours late. Tips: Be prepared to have to wait for other trains to pass, this is normal and usually only takes a few minutes, maybe 10-15 minutes. As for the Wi-Fi, I thought it was ok on previous trips but this time it was anything but ok. It was non-functional I would say about half the trip. If Via Rail advertises free Wi-Fi, the least they can do is make sure it works, at least 95% of the time, 50% is definitely unacceptable. BTW, I consider none of these problems I describe here are the fault of Wanderu. I have booked Wanderu in the past and will do so in the future.

Pros: As a european resident who never travelled on a train in Canada, I was a bit anxious about our luggage and the local experience. However, I needn’t have been: it was a very comfortable experience and the staff made us feel welcome immediately. Cons: I‘m not sure what the added benefit of the pre-arranged boarding is, in especially as the tickets are also checked later on the train. Tips: Be there on time for the boarding. There is no need to get there earlier as it will take some time to get everyone on the train. I would also recommend bringing some food and drinks on a longer ride if you don’t want to pay the on-board catering.

Pros: Sorry to say, I was very disappointed as my schedule train no 50 at 7.07am and it didn't arrived till c.10.30am. I believe train#53 arrived Guildwood at c.9.30am and train steward kindly allow me to on board. Thanks for that. Cons: Be on time. Waisted my 3+ hours !! Tips: Don't know what to recommend. Train need to be at the station on time!

Pros: nice to see the countryside, and the physical aspects of rail travel are naturally superior to cattle class air travel. Cons: For some reason, the wifi connection seemed not to like me and my gear, although others appeared to have no difficulty. I tried everything I could think of to adjust the configuration of my devices to no avail, and there did not seem to be available info to help. At some point there was an announcement that 'some travelers were experiences issues connecting' and a 'tech was working on it' but no solution in time for me. Tips: anticipate delays. travel with a considerable cushion if making further travel connections. I left about 2.5 hours from scheduled arrival in Toronto to connect to a flight at Pearson, but it wasn't enough and I missed the flight. I was a first timer through union station, and found wayfinding through the station to the rail link to YYZ to be confusing, adding to the delay. Next time, if there is a next time, I'm sure I'd have an easier time.
