Bayreuth is a small city in Bavaria, sitting on the bank of the Red Main river. The city was founded in the 12th century, and visitors can see many traces of its medieval era in the existing town. However, the most well-known attraction in Bayreuth is the Margravial Opera House, a Baroque theater and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
