Venice to Zagreb coach

A city like no other, Venice is one of the most beautiful places in the world. With historical significance during both the Middle Ages and the Italian Renaissance, Venice's culture is as deep and complex as the system of islands it is built upon.

It would be impossible to visit Venice without taking a boat trip along one of its 177 canals, lined with ornate palaces. The city of Venice has no streets, and traffic comes instead in the form of gondolas and other boats navigating through the scenic canals. Venice's southern-central location in Europe makes it easily accessible from far and wide. The city's primary airport is Venice Marco Polo Airport. Venice also has two main train stations, and direct trains are available from many European cities, even all the way to Munich. In addition, coach services connect Venice to various international destinations, with the added benefit of an eye-level view of the Northern Italian landscapes.

Zagreb is the capital and largest city of Croatia. Although often overlooked as a travel destination, Zagreb is the centre of Croatia's art, culture, academic, and sports scene, providing visitors with much to explore. Plus, it's one of the cheapest capitals to visit in Central Europe!

Zagreb is divided into three areas: Gornji grad (upper town), which is over 1000 years old and hosts the Presidential palace as well as St Mark's Church; the Donji grad (lower town), home to 19th-century architecture, shops, theatres, cafes, and parks; and the Novi Zagreb (New Zagreb), which was developed post-World War II and is the main residential and business area of the city.

In what is known as the "city of museums," there is no shortage of fascinating places to shelter from the midday heat. The Museum of Broken Relationships is a unique but heartrending museum dedicated to lost love and the real stories of heartbreak. The Museum of Illusions offers a more lighthearted but equally compelling experience, with many deceiving and confusing exhibits on show.

Zagreb is well-connected to many other European cities and destinations throughout the continent. About 15 kilometers from the city center, Zagreb International Airport provides many national and international flight routes, and Zagreb Central Station is a major railway hub. Several coach companies depart Zagreb daily for cities like Dubrovnik, Split, Vienna, and Berlin.
