Amtrak Thruway

Pros: I have told all my Astoria friends about this bus service. I don’t know how long this company has made this route. I was born in Astoria and believe I remember there always being a bus to Portland but I never took one- or anyplace else in the state. I have always had someone to drive me or had my car. Since I have moved to the Midwest, I no longer have a car. I’m currently unemployed and didn’t want to spend the money to rent a car. This was WONDERFUL. In fact, I’m moving back to the west coast and though I will have my car, this is a great option. I love being able to relax, look out the window and let someone else drive. The price certainly makes this a perfect option in the future as well. Please keep it affordable for people! Thanks so much! Cons: Nothing. Tips: Enjoy the ride from Portland to Astoria! It takes a bit longer than driving yourself, but you can just relax and enjoy the beauty through the north coast forest!
