Springfield, which was created as a station on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad in 1847, is the principal business center in the southern area of Fairfax County. Springfield, located in Virginia, is a pleasant town with plenty of indoor and outdoor entertainment options.

Lake Accotink is a great place to visit for the dam, lake surrounding walks, and picnicking.
