In the first leg of the trip, the seats and bus was cleanly and smelled good. The driver, Carlos Sanchez, helped me with my baggage personally. There were many seats available and I was comfortable throughout the ride. When we transferred, at the very least the bus was ...More
The second leg of the trip was significantly worse than the first leg, which is expected when traveling into New York City. The bus smelled, although it was cleanly, and the bus was crowded, which is slightly worrying with the ongoing pandemic.
Adirondack Trailways is great, maybe transfer at Saratoga Springs onto an Amtrak though.

The smoothness of the driver
Since we are in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, I felt like passengers being seated right next to each other was not a good choice in regards to health. I also didn’t see any sanitizing of the seats or anybody’s temperature being checked.

What is the difference between Adirondack Trailways, New York Trailways and Pine Hill Trailways?

Adirondack Trailways, New York Trailways and Pine Hill Trailways are sub-brands of the Trailways of New York transportation company. Each brand operates as an individual business with its own network of routes and services.

Do Adirondack Trailways coaches have WiFi?

Yes, Adirondack Trailways offers WiFi on their coaches. Although most trips with Adirondack Trailways will have WiFi as advertised, some coaches might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. Adirondack Trailways WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Are there power points or USB points on the coach?

Yes, there are power points onboard Adirondack Trailways coaches. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbour might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power points, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power point USB converter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since Adirondack Trailways might sometimes use replacement coach vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.
