Amtrak

Pros: I successfully arrived at my destination. Cons: I do not believe that the Wanderu site offered an option other than a coach seat. I later booked a roomette through Amtrak. This caused a minor inconvenience, but I connected successfully with the bus connection from Seattle to Vancouver. All good. Tips: Be patient at the Border Control Crossing ... realize that "everyone" aboard the bus needs to clear the checkpoint, not just you.

Amtrak

Pros: the coach seats were very comfortable and spacious, and the cars were very quiet during the night. Cons: i wish that the diner car was open to coach passengers, or the cafe had a few more options for healthy food. the bathrooms were also pretty gross. Tips: bring a blanket and a pillow, the trains cats are freezing at night. also bring lots of water because water bottles are a bit expensive onboard.
