20 August 2019- Visiting family

Amtrak Adirondack

Pros: Comfortable and convenient journey. Cons: The unwelcoming attitude of the US immigration officials. They are not exactly efficient. The train was held up for 1.5 hours. Tips: Make sure you take US dollars with you to pay to get your passport stamped. This is extra to the ESTA. They don’t accept Canadian dollars on the train despite it being a land border. You can pay by credit card but it just takes a lot longer.
