Pros: It was thrilling to see the refurbished Union Station, and the trip was worth that alone, but became so much more when we were treated with exceptional kindness by one of the Station attendants, who transferred us on a little cart to the train, and ensured our baggage was taken care of. The transfer to the bus at Fullerton was easy, and the rest of the trip by bus was enjoyable. A fun interlude! Cons: There is a scramble for regular seats on the train. Perhaps they could be pre-assigned when sold. Tips: Make sure you take the train in Los Angeles. A retro adventure!
