Amtrak and Blue Water are both registered trademarks owned by Amtrak. The Blue Water is an Amtrak train line that runs 319 miles between Chicago, IL and Port Huron, MI. Along the way, it stops in cities including Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Flint. Overall, the Blue Water serves 57 routes, connecting 11 cities.

The Blue Water is designated as a higher-speed service, which means the trains go faster than conventional routes, but not quite fast enough to be called “high-speed rail.” Passengers can book either Coach Class or Business Class tickets. Upgrading to Business Class includes exclusive amenities like a dedicated car with attendant, free coffee and tea, and a more flexible ticket cancellation policy. All passengers can enjoy the free WiFi available on the train and the power outlets at every seat.

Pros: I traveled to Chicago with my daughter going on her first train trip. Everything was so organized and ALL the employees were so helpful with directions and any possible questions we had. Cons: More signage regarding our current location.

Pros: I like how bright it is on this train. Cons: When I was on the train, there was no hot water, and the restroom wasn’t working. It would be great if this could be improved. Tips: It would be even better if people didn’t talk loudly on the phone.

Pros: I love how helpful and familiar the staff is i travel alot via amtrak and the staff start to feel like family.The train was clean everything worked and I was very pleased with the trip along with my mother on my way safe and sound to a sick father.Thank you guys. Cons: Never change everything ia fine. Tips: Bring something to entertain while enjoying the free wifi so work,games,movies etc.

All Amtrak Blue Water tickets can be cancelled for a full refund within the first 24 hours after purchase. If more than 24 hours have passed, the cancellation policy and change fee structure for Amtrak bookings depend on the type of fare you purchased:

Saver Fare tickets: A 25% fee applies for any changes. If you cancel the trip, you will receive an eVoucher worth 75% of the original ticket price.

Value Fare tickets: No change fees and fully refundable up to 15 or more days before departure. If cancelled less than 14 days before departure, a 25% cancellation fee applies.

Flexible, Business and Premium Fare tickets: No change fees and fully refundable if cancelled or changed before departure.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable after the train has departed, so be sure to make your updates as soon as possible if your travel plans change.
