Pros: The updates about station arrivals. Cons: I was in a quiet car and towards the end of the trip later arriving passengers did not treat it as such. Just as stations were announced, new passengers should be reminded of the quiet car’s conditions. Also, an announcement an hour prior to the dining car’s closing would be nice. There was just an announcement at 8pm stating the dining car is now closed. Tips: Adhere to the Quiet Car guidelines.

Pros: I rather to take Amtrak train to Washington DC instead to drive myself alone. I transferred myself to meet a friend by Washington Metro Transit. I ride with a friend to Smoky Mountain for the girl's spiritual retreat. It was a long day, but it was worth for my peace of my mind. I had a chance to walk in the Amtrak for stretch walk and to read a book. Cons: I think if would be nice for Amtrak train upgrade on WIFI for iphone or ipad, etc. It requires to bring outlet plug outlet for volt 120. Tips: Mak sure that your iphone or any device is fully charged on battery bar.

Pros: I liked the direct means of travel and limited hassle in comparison to flying. Cons: onboard entertainment and wifi with Amtrak. I am used to inter-state trains having a meal car, like in Europe.
