Amtrak Northeast Regional

Pros: Unhappily, I broke my foot before my trip. The conductor helped me out of the train with my bags, and had someone meet us on the platform with a cart and help me into the station (she also offered to help me out to the street). Fantastic, kind staff!!! Cons: The trash in the restrooms could be emptied during the long stops. Tips: Download anything you want to watch/read - the wifi is SLOW!

Perhaps best known as the birthplace of basketball, Springfield is a mecca for b-ball fans.
