At Wanderu, we don’t monkey around. We leave that to our mascot, Chiku.
He believes that traveling to new places is the most fulfilling way to learn, be inspired and find happiness. He also believes that the most bananas you should put in your mouth at any given time is seven.
Always up for a spontaneous trip, Chiku is thrilled to help you swing the best deals on bus, train and plane tickets, whatever the destination.
Polina Raygorodskaya is the co-founder and executive chairwoman of Wanderu.
Even before starting a travel business, Polina was already going places. After studying entrepreneurship at Babson College, she ran a boutique fashion and lifestyle PR firm based in NYC.
Once she conceived of Wanderu, it was full steam ahead. Since then, Polina has appeared on the Forbes “30 Under 30” list and graced the cover of Inc. magazine as one of the most innovative female entrepreneurs in America.
In 2019, she raised the bar even more after receiving an honorary doctor of laws degree from Babson.
Igor Bratnikov is Wanderu’s co-founder, more commonly referred to as Captain Awesome.
An affinity for sticking things in outlets as a child led him to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal. Then, a rerun of “Ally McBeal” inspired him to study at the BU School of Law, where he became... well, a lawyer.
Prior to founding Wanderu, Igor worked at a prominent law firm where he consulted companies on patent and business strategies.
In 2015, Igor appeared in Inc. Magazine’s “30 Under 30” chart of the best young entrepreneurs, and in 2016 he was featured on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list in the Consumer Tech category.
