Amtrak Texas Eagle

Pros: I liked that it was a train; unique experience overall! Cons: I wish it had arrived on time; we left 30 mins late from the first station due to repairs but were 30 mins late on top of that. Tips: Since this is public transportation, don't expect to get a perfectly full night of sleep. The seats were extremely comfortable, but fellow passengers may talk or snore very loudly throughout the drive. Luckily, the train has a lounge you can sleep on the benches :).
