Pros: Enjoyed seeing the countryside. Cons: Clarity of announcements in the station. Tips: Bring your own snacks. Long way to the dining car.

Pros: Smooth and quiet. Plenty of room. Arrived on time and it was enjoyable. The stations are lovely. Cons: The price is a bit steep, but not unreasonable. The price of the food available to buy is too high. A few more stations along the way to get off and visit friends. Tips: Plan to enjoy the trip. If you go all the way to Miami and want to stay overnight, there is a Holiday Inn 6 blocks from the station .

Amtrak Silver Service

Pros: The best part of this leg of my trip was the staff. They were friendly, with a willingness to make my trip enjoyable and comfortable. The staff was a cohesive team and worked well together. There's a lot more stops going back to Miami than going to Orlando, but I had ample space where to put my laptop and work, using my time wisely. Because of the bad experience I had going up to Orlando, I didn't think I'd ever get back on an Amtrak train, but the staff and the as-close-to-on-time trip going back to Miami was a great experience, I will have to give Amtrak a second chance. Cons: I think you need new seats or at least replace the cushions. They're not as comfortable as they should be. Tips: Try Charles' coffee in the dining area. It's really good!
