Amtrak Northeast Regional

Pros: We were British visiting family and taking a trip to Washington, The staff and trains were much better than the British equivalent. No standing. Very helpful and friendly staff. A smooth journey that arrived on time, what more do you want. Cons: The return train was cancelled because of a fire on the line. Information was slow to get out to us and some people immediately went for the bus. It was only when we got to the ticket desk that there was room on the next train that left in 30 minutes. We were fine thanks to this but I felt for the people who went for the bus line. Tips: Book in advance for the best price.
