Amtrak Coast Starlight

Pros: I loved the idea of the train, I HD never been on one. However, for me and my medical conditions it was a bit long. Cons: I have no idea what could be improved as it wasn't the train, it was me. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Amtrak Coast Starlight

Pros: The staff at Union station very friendly and helpful, boarding was easy, train clean and travel picturesque. Kept you updated that connections were running late. Checked baggage feature is very helpful. Cons: When booking to San Francisco, the choices are to Emeryville, but nowhere does it say, you must purchase an additional ticket for the Amtrak bus to the Bay area. Very disconcerting to have the driver tell you, you can't board the bus because you don't have a ticket. It isn't even offered on the site and the Amtrak main office is closed after hours. The driver sent us there - didn't he know it was closed? In the end, the driver let us board the bus to Mission St. Unneeded stress. Don't assume travelers know. Tips: Anyone traveling to San Francisco Bay area - please enquire about how you get across the Bay and be prepared to call Uber or get a taxi to your hotel if you're unable to take the Amtrak connecting bus.

Pros: I loved that even though I lost my truck, they honored my reservation for a later departure! the truck and the train very clean and comfortable.
