Pros
It wasn't terribly cold on there like it has been my previous trips.
Cons
The overhead speaker wasn't working properly (in the ceiling over seat 68) and when announcements were being made we could only hear a mumbled whisper.
Tips
While train is moving, hold on to the back of every seat for security so that you don't fall on seated riders.

Pros
The big seats.
Cons
There were too many passengers and not enough seats for the "coach" areas. Even though we had some seats reserved, we had to search for free seats. It would be much more appreciated if you get your own seat number, so you have your seats and you can find them and there ...More
Tips
Book your seats earlier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there WiFi onboard Amtrak City of New Orleans?

No, Amtrak City of New Orleans does not offer WiFi at this time. Since Amtrak City of New Orleans might sometimes use replacement train vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power outlets. You will want to have your ticket ready to be displayed as you board for the agent to scan. As back up, road warriors recommend taking a screenshot of your E Ticket. That way, you won’t be fumbling around in case your internet connection cuts out.
