New London is a seaport in Connecticut, located at the mouth of the Thames River. There's a bus stop on Pleasant Street and a rail depot further along on Railroad Avenue. The rail platform is a quaint wooden structure with a few benches and bike racks. There are plenty of local restaurants and cafes on Strong Avenue, within easy walking distance of the platform. And if you've got an overnight connection, the Hotel Northampton is only 10 minutes away on foot- plus plenty of other hotels and bed and breakfasts in the vicinity.
