About Red Arrow

Red Arrow was founded in 1979 to provide luxury coach travel to the Canadian province of Alberta. Red Arrow has a history of trailblazing in the coach industry and implemented single-row seating, seatbelts, and complimentary snacks in their coaches earlier than most other coach carriers. Today, Red Arrow strives to provide the most comfortable and enjoyable coach service to passengers on each of its 582 daily trips.

Red Arrow coaches connect the most popular destinations in Alberta, including Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge. Red Arrow's 460 routes serve 16 cities in total. Ticket prices depend on the length of the route, but the cheapest Red Arrow tickets cost £21.76 and the most expensive cap out at £226.54.

Red Arrow's high-end vehicles have several onboard amenities to make journeys more comfortable for passengers. These include complimentary Wi-Fi, onboard movies to enjoy via a pair of headphones, and power outlets. Passengers can also take advantage of free water, extra legroom, and restrooms. Snacks are available for purchase onboard, and you can pay with cash or credit card.

A Red Arrow partner since 2016, Wanderu provides a simple way of finding the cheapest journeys to your destination. The cheapest Red Arrow coach tickets can be found and booked on Wanderu, with zero Wanderu fees, so you know you're getting the absolute best deal.

Red Arrow Coach Guide & FAQs

Yes, Red Arrow offers WiFi on their coaches. Although most trips with Red Arrow will have WiFi as advertised, some coaches might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. Red Arrow WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge-watch your favorite show.

Yes, there are power outlets onboard Red Arrow coaches. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a USB power adapter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since Red Arrow might sometimes use replacement coach vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

On a typical day, Red Arrow has 582 scheduled coach trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

No, Red Arrow does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station.

Yes, Red Arrow requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the coach. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.

Yes, there are bathrooms on Red Arrow coaches. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Red Arrow provides snacks to satisfy your hunger during your travels. Be sure to pack a credit card and some cash in case you get hungry. Your thirst is a priority for Red Arrow, and to make sure you are never parched onboard their coach, they offer free bottles of water. Just remember - the only right thing to do at the end of your trip is to make sure every water bottle is placed in a recycle bin to reduce your impact on the environment.

Red Arrow goes the extra distance to deliver premium features to its customers.

Movies are provided during the coach trip to keep you entertained. Don’t forget to bring your favorite pair of headphones, as headphones are not always included on the coach. We recommend in-ear noise cancelling headphones due to their small size.

Do you find yourself squished in a regular seat or just love having extra room to sprawl out? Well you’re in luck as Red Arrow offers extra legroom seating. Since there is no standard of what extra legroom is, the extra space you get may vary between coach lines, but getting extra is always good.
