22 December 2021- Vacation

Amtrak California Zephyr

Pros: I've wanted to make this trip for over 20 years (this time December 22, 2021). It was a dream. Been over 3,000 meters high, great river and mountain landscapes, sometimes scary. Will treat me to it again in summer when it's light longer in the evening. Only to be recommended. I drove from Denver to Salt Lake City. Tips: Enjoy the long journey and take something to eat and drink with you. The dining car is sometimes occupied by the sleeper car guests.
