Pros: I like it better than flying or driving. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The seats were comfortable and they had a cafe with some good stuff in there. I really enjoyed the ride and can’t wait to travel with Amtrak again. Cons: The bathrooms could have better maintenance especially the fact the it was a 16 hour ride. Tips: Bring a pillow and blanket.

Pros: I had never travelled with Amtrak before. I loved every moment of it, the scenery, navigating between cars, interacting with staff, everything! Cons: Public bathrooms could be cleaner, but it was at the same level as some discount commercial airlines.

Amtrak Southwest Chief Train Guide & FAQs

Do Amtrak Southwest Chief trains have WiFi?

No, unfortunately Amtrak Southwest Chief does not offer WiFi aboard its trains at this time. Yes, there are power outlets onboard Amtrak Southwest Chief trains.
