It's unfortunate that the bus 'terminus' is so far east in Manhattan (walking to the subway at Grand Central is a pain with luggage) but 1st and 42nd makes for an easy approach to Manhattan; it's much better than going to NJ and crossing back into Manhattan through the ...More
Rattling window frames seems to be typical of Concord Coach buses. Tighten them please! They're noisy.
Get to the station in Portland or to the stop in NYC early so you can nab one of the single seats.

Free headphones, pit stop half way through that had a cafe, two movies to watch, and the “no talking on your phone” rule was great.
The bus ride was nearly 7 hours long but the bus was only geared up to show 2. Adding a few more movies to the cue would have been great.
