Pros: Amtrak gave me almost two hours of unscheduled time sitting at a rail spur rather than traveling to DC in about five and a half hours, as Amtrak advertised. During our unscheduled stop my fellow passengers and I had ample time to study the concrete wall next to the train. Cons: Amtrak needs to vastly improve reliability. I took the train because I felt I could depend on arriving in Washington DC within 30 minutes of the scheduled arrival time. The expected reliability of train make me choose Amtrak over a flight or a bus. I was very disappointed with the outcome. The train arrived almost two hours late to DC. Tips: Think twice before you take the train.
