Named for the river running through the town, Chemnitz is a cultural center in Saxony, close to Germany's border with Czechia. The city was known as Karl-Marx-Stadt before German reunification, and an enormous bronze sculpture of Karl Marx's head reminds visitors of this legacy. Other notable structures in town include the Red Tower, a remnant of the city's 12-century walls, and the striking Altes Rathaus, or Old Town Hall. Zagreb Glavni Kolod is the main train station in Croatia's capital city and is a major transport hub in the country. The building was built in 1890 in neoclassical style and is now one of the city's most recognizable attractions in Croatia, with arched windows, impressive stone columns, and a tympanum above the entrance depicting several figures. The station doesn't have a central waiting area, but it does have plenty of benches and seating, ticket offices, ATMs, kiosks, cafes, and a bar. There's also a shopping mall directly next to the station with many shops and restaurants, plus more in the Zagreb city center.
