Pros: Good seating, nice speed, punctual. Cons: Cleaner windows, noise, when one sits just near the doors to the other wagon. Tips: Just do it and take your time. Coach seating is good enough.

Pros: The scenery was BEAUTIFUL! Cons: I sat next to a 600+ lb woman (she doesn't fly because she must pay for 2 seats) AND I did not know there was a scenic upper story where I could sit and look out the window. Also, after 8 hours on the train I found out there was a lever to raise your legs. I hope I NEVER experience another coach trip, because it was AWFUL! (Somehow? I didn't notice the sleeper car option when I booked my trip. YIKES!!!). Tips: If you understand all the options available...your trip could be "A MILLION" times better! I thought the only options were when and where you were going!!! I had never traveled by train before.

Pros: The scenic view car was wonderful and I enjoyed taking time to view the landscape as we moved through it. Cons: The speakers in our car did not work so we could not hear announcements being made. Employees were apparently aware of it but no one came back to our car to give us am update until I specifically asked someone to - unfortunately that wasn't until the end of the trip. Also, it would make it so much easier if there was a board by the tracks stating what train was at which track. I almost missed my train b/c I was train 5 but boarded at a different track. This was my first time traveling on a train. Tips: Lots of let room and storage for your bags.

Cons: Condition of bathroom faucets- one handle came off in my hand and even when using the faucets properly, water splashed all over my pants. Also, trash piled up in receptacles and was not emptied frequently enough to keep receptacles from overflowing. Tips: Gorgeous scenery on this leg from Denver to Grand Junction—would definitely do this again!

Pros: close to stay. Cons: upgrade depot, train cars, surrounding area of depot. Tips: bring cards, games, other items to pass the time, trip was a little to long.
