Amtrak California Zephyr

Pros: Good seating, nice speed, punctual. Cons: Cleaner windows, noise, when one sits just near the doors to the other wagon. Tips: Just do it and take your time. Coach seating is good enough.

Amtrak California Zephyr

Pros: My first train travel experience and I loved it! Amtrack’s staff and their service is exceptional. A wonderful surprise. Cons: Not much except Wi-Fi would be nice. But, I used my iPhone hotspot which was fine. The electrical outlets worked so there was no issue with charging my iPad and phone. It would be nice if outlets were placed individually nearer to each seat. Tips: Book early if you want a sleeping car bedroom or berth.

Pros: Best part of my trip was just to relax. The crew was professional as always. I felt safe. Had lots of room in the new seats! Cons: I cant think of anything right now. Tips: Plan on relaxing and have a good attitude. Bring a small blanket and pillow and snacks. Headphones to listen to books and music. Please dont talk loud on your cell phone.
