Pros: The ride was smooth and the seats were comfortable. Cons: The restroom. It was stocked but it smelled.

Pros: Easy boarding and deboarding at two small stations, pleasantries shared with amtrak crew, LOVED that I could buy Charlie cards on the train for when I went into boston! Loved how the cafe car was stocked and that the prices there seemed a bit more reasonable than they used to be. LOVED that they let me get my MyAmtrak points AFTER the fact even though I booked thru Wanderu (all I had to do was call the MyAmtrak Customer service number after I got home) and LOVE earning those points that I can use in sooo many ways! Also: Pretty darned good free wifi - what's not to love about that? And lastly...the ever-fascinating views seen from the rails that are not seen from any other path I may follow to get from point a to point b - nothing gives you the view you get from the train! Also, I just enjoyed the general congenial and familial feeling of that ride - the crew was very pleasant and engaging and passengers were well-behaved and enjoying themselves, young and old and in-between... Cons: I've always found amtrak's website cumbersome and HATE the whole dumb "Julie" thing!! This is why I either patiently wait out the 'endless' wait for a phone rep I can speak to in person or will order tix thru wanderu EZPZ and then get my points applied following my travel. Tips: See above!! Booking thru wanderu is LOVELY!!! ...and if, for some reason, you need to change or even cancel your plans, they make that easy too and work extremely well in tandem with amtrak to make all red tape possibilities a non-event if you have to change some plans....
