The Best Way to Get to Cape Cod from Boston, New York & Providence

Going on a trip to Cape Cod can be a lot of fun, but high prices can put a damper on anyone’s mood. The good news is that prices don’t have to be high if you book through Wanderu!

Enjoy Cape Cod on a budget: there are many ways to get there and lots of free activities to enjoy while out on the Cape!

Things to Look Forward to on the Cape

The beach is always fun, whether you’re by yourself, with a group, or on a family holiday. At the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, there are walking tours of the exhibits during the week. Another great tour can be found at no cost at the Cape Cod Chips Factory in Hyannis. If you want something more active, there is the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a bike trail along the beautiful shores of Cape Cod.

Want to see Provincetown and mainland Massachusetts at the same time? On a clear day, head out to the tallest point on the Cape, Scargo Tower, in Dennis, MA where both are visible! If you take a bus to Cape Cod Winery in East Falmouth, they offer cheap wine tastings. Just make sure to check their schedule before heading out. If you want to go for a leisurely stroll, there are 12 secluded acres of lavenders in Harwich. Just take a bus to Cape Cod Lavender Farm.

In Hyannis, there are tours and samplings at Cape Cod Beer, Cape Cod’s only Brewery. Race Point in Provincetown is a great place to spot whales if you don’t want to pay for the charter boat. While at the Cape, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority provides bus service to various cities within the region.

You can reach many destinations on the Cape by bus or ferry from Boston. Let’s check out the routes and the highlights you can expect when you arrive.
