The 12 Best Destinations for a Fabulous Bachelorette Party

Table of Contents

An unforgettable bachelorette party means different things to different people, but the end goal is the same. You want to plan a getaway with the bride’s closest friends, do all the things she loves, and celebrate her upcoming nuptials. Forget about Las Vegas or Austin, TX – it’s time to try some new spots.

Whether you’re looking for a wild weekend or a relaxing trip, we’ve rounded up 12 of the best cities all across North America for your upcoming celebration.

1. Isla Mujeres, Mexico

Isla Mujeres

Looking for a beach town in Mexico with relaxed vibes? Isla Mujeres is the perfect spot to have your bachelorette party melt away any pre-wedding stress! In fact, its name translates to “The Island of Women.” Here, you’ll find picture-perfect white-sand beaches bordering a beautiful turquoise ocean.

If your group of gals is looking for an especially unique outing, you should visit Tortugranja, a sea turtle sanctuary open to the public. Also, Isla Mujeres is just a few miles northeast of Cancun, so you always have the option of heading across the bay to enjoy some vibrant nightlife.

Visit Isla Mujeres during the winter or early spring for peak weather conditions. Your bridal party will return home glowing and ready for some gorgeous wedding photos.

2. Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston

The old Southern charm of this city will absolutely find its way into your heart. Charleston is known as one of the best U.S. cities for a bachelorette party because it’s full of options that will appeal to any future bride. There’s a reason it also ranked in our top 10 cities for a Spring Break girls’ trip! You can relax on the beach, walk the cobblestone streets, and then dance the night away at a local club.

Charleston offers such a diverse array of activities you’ll have a hard time deciding how to allocate your short trip. Some of the activities you should consider include a walking ghost tour or a booze cruise around town.

Fall and spring boast the best temperatures with low humidity, but if you’re looking to hit the beach, the water will be warmest in the fall.

3. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Cabo

Cabo is the perfect bachelorette party destination if you’re looking to experience sand, sun, and a possible brush with the rich and famous. There’s a reason people flock to these beautiful beaches. You can add some adventure to your itinerary with glass bottom kayaking or whale watching.

The biggest challenge of your trip will be deciding where to eat, as Cabo is home to so many incredible chefs. Don’t forget to add a nicer outfit to your Mexico packing list; even if you plan to spend 90% of the trip on the beach, the restaurants are worth dolling up for. Visit in October or November to enjoy smaller crowds and off-season pricing. The weather will be comfortable for a day at the beach without dealing with extreme heat.

4. Québec City, Quebec

Quebec City

If a bachelorette bash during the summer months is what you’re aiming for, Québec City should be at the top of your list. During July, the city’s hottest month, the average high is just 78°F. Québec City is also pretty scenic in winter, if you’d rather venture to one of the best snowy destinations in North America.

For some outdoor adventure, your group can take a hike, go ziplining or stroll through Québec’s old city walls. After all, Québec City is one of North America’s most walkable cities.

Prefer to relax indoors? Head to a local spa, attend a mixology class at Ateliers & Saveurs, or get extra fancy with afternoon tea at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. For an extra splash of glam, look for some of the many spots all over town that feature a gorgeous view of the St. Lawrence river.

5. Santa Fe, New Mexico

Headed to Santa Fe for a one-of-a-kind bachelorette party? Downtown Santa Fe is easily walkable, so you only have to strategize how you are getting there. If you want to include a unique pre-planned outing, consider a wine tour with New Mexico Wine Tours or a cooking class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. Local cuisine options abound, many with a Southwestern flair.

You should plan to go in June to enjoy ideal weather and stroll through town window-shopping at some of Santa Fe’s incredible art galleries. You might also opt to visit in October and spend a day in nearby Albuquerque to experience the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival. During that time, the skies fill with hot air balloons for nine days, so why not make your bachelorette party the trip of a lifetime?!

6. Banff, Alberta

Banff

Banff is a bachelorette party paradise for any nature-loving bride-to-be and in general one of the best places in Canada to visit. First of all, the breathtaking views are reason enough to make the trip. Second, Banff is full of adventure options, including horseback riding (hello to more of those views), hiking, canoeing, white water rafting, and rock climbing. Even the less athletically-inclined bridesmaids will enjoy a day of snow tubing.

After exhausting yourselves in the cold all day, you can soak your worries away at the Banff Upper Hot Springs and enjoy dinner at a local favorite, The Bison.

To fully enjoy all the snowy wonders that Banff offers, make sure to visit during the winter. Just remember to pack plenty of layers!

7. Whistler, British Columbia

Whistler

Whistler is full of lodging options ranging from entire homes to hotels in Whistler Village to the swanky Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

Once you’ve arrived, check out the Bearfoot Bistro, home to the only sub-zero vodka room in Canada. If your bridal party is ready for a more PG-13 trip, you can go on the Whistler Club Crawl or book a Butler in the Buff to serve your bridal party while you relax at the hotel. Outdoor activity options include a helicopter sightseeing ride, ziplining, and ATV tours.

Whistler is one of the best cities for a bachelorette party because it’s ready to enjoy year-round. Summer temperatures are mild, and snowy winters come with lots of outdoor activities to choose from. Adventurous groups can even try snowshoeing in Whistler for an unforgettable snow day with the girls!

8. Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis

When you think of celebrating in Tennessee, Nashville probably comes to mind. Skip the crowds and clichés by heading to Memphis instead. You’ll catch live music shows all over the city, and you might even consider spending a day touring the iconic Graceland, Elvis Presley’s sprawling mansion.

If your group is full of beer lovers, you will enjoy visiting one of the many breweries found around town, including Memphis Made Brewing and Ghost River Brewing. Next, create your own souvenir to remember the trip by getting crafty at Seize the Clay or Five in One Social Club. Finally, make sure to enjoy some local BBQ while you’re in town!

9. Montreal, Quebec

Montreal

Montreal is the best destination for a bachelorette party celebrating a classy bride-to-be. It will feel like a European getaway without the trans-Atlantic flight (and cost!).

Book the Old Montreal Bachelorette Party Food & Drink Tour for a fun experience that doesn’t require a ton of planning on your end. Or check out the host of free activities in Montreal to save more money for shopping at some of the city’s boutiques later. Most of Montreal is walkable – just make sure you visit during the summer if that’s your plan!

If your goal is to soak up as much of Montreal as you can, you should consider trying the Tyrolienne MTL Zipline for some incredible aerial views of the city. Then, pamper the bride and bridal party with an unforgettable spa day at Bota Bota: a spa that’s on an old converted boat.

Once everyone is feeling relaxed and beautiful, several local boudoir photographers offer bachelorette party specials. After that, everyone will definitely head home with a memorable keepsake!

10. Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colorado Springs

You’ll find plenty of fun things to do in Colorado Springs to spoil the bride before the big day, whether she’s an adrenaline junkie or looking for a night out on the town.

It’s hard to resist planning a hike at the Garden of the Gods. If your group would rather just enjoy the gorgeous views, plan to stay at the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. There, you can sign up for an outdoor yoga session and then take a swim in their infinity pool. Another option is taking your bridal party glamping for an experience that even the prissiest bridesmaid will (begrudgingly) enjoy.

For a delicious taste of the town, take your group on a food tour like the Pike’s Peak Progressive Dinner or the Spring’s Signature Cocktail Tour. Thanks to Colorado’s elevation, you can comfortably visit during July or August, when most vacation spots are too hot to enjoy!

11. Tulum, Mexico

If you plan a bachelorette trip to Tulum, be ready for a hefty itinerary because you will want to do it ALL. Your group can choose from tours that feature snorkeling with turtles, visiting the Tulum ruins, heading underground to see the Mayan Riviera’s cenotes (aka natural sinkholes), or heading about 20 miles northwest to the Coba Ruins. Wander on your own or opt for a tour of the Cenotes and other attractions. Of course, if you opt to stay in one of Tulum’s resorts, the pools and spas will also be calling your name.

Once you work up an appetite, grab a bite to eat at Zamas and enjoy a view with your dinner, or head to El Carboncito for a more authentic dining experience. If you’re in Tulum on a Saturday, Papaya Playa Project is the place to be for a fun night of dancing, but there are many other excellent Tulum beach clubs to pick from, too.

Plan the bachelorette party in January or February for gorgeous weather, since Tulum is one of the best destinations for winter sun. An added bonus we bet you didn’t think about: the mosquito count is a lot lower in January!

Book Your Trip:

12. Scottsdale, Arizona

Scottsdale

Live out your bougiest dreams by celebrating before your big day in upscale Scottsdale, one of the top destinations in Arizona. Transportation is a breeze – it’s easy to travel to neighboring Phoenix and then grab a rideshare into Scottsdale, only 10 miles away. Once you’re there, everything is within walking distance. Going during the summer is perfect if your goal is lots of pool time and cheaper deals, but it’s also the ideal warm-weather escape during the winter.

Take the bridesmaids on a desert adventure with a jeep tour or hike on Camelback Mountain, then stretch your muscles with a yoga session at the Balanced Bachelorette (how can you resist this local spot that was made for times like this?!).

Scottsdale is a haven for foodies, so check out the local favorite Diego Pops, or treat yourself to endless brunch at SumoMaya. Calories don’t count on a bachelorette bash!
