Dear Boston,
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways… One one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand…
From your North End, to your South End, and even down and around to your Back Bay, you have all the neighborhoods that drive me wild. I know it’s only been two years, but every time you ask me to go for a ride in your “cah,” or to come over to play “cahds,” or hang out near Harvard “yahd,” I know this love is real.
We all have a past, and even though you’ve been with the likes of Paul Revere, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Marky Mark, you’re my home now.
I’m infatuated with your Irish pride and happy jigs, and even though you’re a little nuts when it comes to sports, I see us together for years to come.
Memories of walking your Freedom Trail, picnicking in the Common, and watching games at Fenway will always bring a smile to my face. From now to eternity, every time I hear those Dropkick Murphys sing, I’ll get a little choked up…
…because it’s not just your history, craft beer, crazy sports fans, or awesome accent. No, it’s that tingly feeling I get everytime I’m here. I love you Boston, will you be my Valentine?
Love,
Michael
