Travelers are now able to book bus and train trips to 1,000+ destinations throughout Europe using Wanderu.

BOSTON, MA (January 25, 2017) – Wanderu, the largest ground travel search platform in North America, announced today that it has launched its services in Europe. Starting today, travelers are able to use Wanderu to find, compare and book bus and train tickets to and from more than 1,000 European cities, including key destinations in Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, among other places. The service is free to use and does not charge any commission fees.

Wanderu rolls out in Europe with three launch partners, including British travel provider National Express, German bus company FlixBus, and French bus carrier OUIBUS. Over the coming months, Wanderu will continue increasing its European coverage to offer travel options from more than 160 additional bus and train companies it has already partnered with, including carriers based in Spain, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.

“Bringing Wanderu to Europe has been a priority of ours ever since the initial launch of our website back in 2013,” said Polina Raygorodskaya, co-founder and CEO of Wanderu. “There are so many low-cost opportunities to explore numerous beautiful destinations all over the continent and it’s our duty to provide travelers with one convenient place where they can see all of their options to book the perfect trip.”

Wanderu also introduces European travelers to its unique routing technology that automatically combines bus and train travel options from various operators to build the most convenient and affordable itinerary in case there aren’t any direct trips available between any two locations. As a result, people are able to book trips on more than 480,000 routes that are exclusively available only on Wanderu.

Bus and train tickets for both European and North American travel are available now at Wanderu.com and through Wanderu’s smartphone app for iOS and Android, as part of the search platform’s ongoing efforts to make travel booking more efficient and less stressful.

Moving forward, Wanderu is looking to expand its services to include all the different ways the Millennial generation travels. The company has already begun incorporating flights and accommodation options in the search results and its goal is to provide people with a one-stop booking platform where they can find everything they need to build the most efficient travel itinerary.
