Pros
The Greyhound bus station was only two blocks from my hotel.
Cons
The Greyhound bus station, although close to my hotel, is far out of the downtown (about a 45-minute walk) of Sacramento, and there is apparently no optional stop (or pick-up point?) closer to downtown, e.g., at the railway station.
Tips
Governor's Inn Hotel is located two blocks west along Richards Drive. City buses go by, but it is a ten-minute walk east to a Sacramento light rail transit route that runs only every half-hour.

Pros
Good route, great price
Cons
Competence of staff. Many acted like they didn’t want to be there, a bit inconsiderate to guest waiting outside in heat, instead of opening doors earlier to have guests get out of heat.

Megabus don't provide power outlet and wifi. Greyhound have both
Tips
Megabus is faster because it goes straight to sac, but greyhound stops at oakland.

Pros
It was on time for departure and arrived ahead of schedule. The electrical outlet worked so the ability to charge electronics was great.
Cons
The ergonomics of the seat were a bit hard on my back. The meeting point could use some shade at the very least. If we had to wait any longer, it could've been very uncomfortable with the heat, and possibly dangerous for anyone that's susceptible to heat stroke or has hMore
Tips
Hydrate, and have a way to keep yourself from having issues with heat as the departure stop has no shade
