For even more of a taste of Croatia, visit one of the local restaurants. As Split is a coastal town, seafood dishes are the standard, but the flavors are far above standard! Make sure to try brudet, a traditional seafood stew commonly served along the Croatian coast. Finish your meal with mandulat, a traditional dessert from the Dalmatia region, made with honey and almonds.
You can easily reach Split from many national and international destinations. Split Airport offers international flights, and an airport shuttle bus provides easy access to the city. The huge public market has over 33 stalls that offer all kinds of delicious goodies.
Deutsche Bahn, DB Intercity, and Railjet trains make it easy to reach Stuttgart from cities like Strasbourg, Zurich, and Frankfurt. Bus options abound, too, with FlixBus, Sindbad, Union Ivkoni and more providing routes in the area. Stuttgart Airport is only about 20 minutes outside of the city, so flying is definitely an option, too.

The bus station known as Autobusni Kolodvor is the central terminal in Split, Croatia. The station is in a busy district of the city on the waterfront, and most major bus services run from here. Buses that operate from the terminal include FlixBus and local service App Pozega. They run to destinations across Croatia, with frequent services to the cities of Pula, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Zadar. At the terminal, there are lots of waiting areas and information booths where you can buy tickets and get information about boats departing from the port. There are also a few cafes nearby, and further into the city, there are multiple hotels, bars, and restaurants.
